I first began using the WebSecretary™ product when I was the Public Relations Chairperson; I needed the get the word out about our club's and club member's activities and accomplishments. With no prior web design experience I had my doubts about using this service. I was amazed at how quickly I could post my press releases by cutting and pasting from my Microsoft Word documents. I next got brave enough to start posting upcoming events and committee meeting notices. Then I noticed the Club President, who also had no website development experience, began posting the speakers for our regular luncheon meeting by adding to meeting notices posted by someone else. I found out that I could post for members only agendas and meeting minutes and track meeting attendance. This allows non committee members who are club members to keep up with the activities of my committee. I just add the information to the WebSecretary™ database and the information ends up on all the locations throughout the entire website. The feedback has been positive and I now use the e-invitation function to remind committee members of meetings and track their response. I can even email to a custom list which includes both committee members and interested parties without maintaining email lists on my computer. The Membership Committee keeps the member information up to date and we all benefit at the same time. I was skeptical at first, but the WebSecretary™ does help me keep in touch.
